Paradise Palm is an original watercolour wax finished painting. My plaster painting aims to recreate the feel of ancient plaster finishes and romanticise the associated nostalgia of past times and travels . The wax patina finish creates a very natural tactile water resistant finish . I’ve included a view of the partner painting “Paradise Journey “which is the same size. . Layers of plaster and watercolour are used to create a unique finish which is sealed with wax to both protect the painting and add to its beauty.
