This image has been compiled from a few images taken while visiting the lower reaches of the Pieman River about 2 kilometres inland from the coast. The sediment brought down by the water from the upper reaches of the river pervades the landscape as a coating, creating the impression that objects are constantly being displayed in the form of a silhouette. The brackish, dark water reflects light like a negative representation of itself.
