Photograph on paper
Signed and numbered on the front.
This image has been compiled from a few images taken while visiting the lower reaches of the Pieman River about 2 kilometres inland from the coast. The sediment brought down by the water from the upper reaches of the river pervades the landscape as a coating, creating the impression that objects are constantly being displayed in the form of a silhouette. The brackish, dark water reflects light like a negative representation of itself.
The images for this photograph were shot on a Sony RX10 camera and edited using Photoshop and Lightroom. The print is from a collection of digital files that are printed using archival quality inks on acid free paper made from 100% cotton fibres. The printer is large format that take archival quality inks. With 8-10 printer ink cartridges the printer is able to deliver a depth of colour that becomes inherent in the printi ng process.
