I came across these buckeye tomatoes at the Adelaide markets. I now lurk in produce stalls rearranging tomatoes and taking photos. The variations of funky shapes and vibrant colours evoke loving slightly riotous dinners with the whole clan.
For me buckeyes are a representation of heart and sharing, so that as a painting they become a memento of joy.
