I have a history with miniature roses. My Mother-in-Laws name was Rose and she was all of 5 foot nothing. She always had pots of miniature roses, particularly red ones, growing along her garden wall. She was so very proud of them.
I also have a history with painting reds (see my tomato paintings). They are so complex and the paints themselves have different qualities of opacity and saturation. It is very satisfying, like solving a puzzle.
