The colours in these original abstract paintings are reminiscent of the local Rainbow Lorikeets. Our noisy, playful Lorikeets are a big part of our environment and of course their loud screeches as they jostle for a space at dusk is a sound most people are familiar with. When my paperbarks are flowering in my garden I am visited by dozens of Lorikeets, and these were the inspiration for my abstract paintings. They were complemented with the black frames and the texture and movement in the painting makes for a dynamic group of four paintings. This is number three of the tetraptych which can be bought individually or with any of the other three paintings. The set of four is $1400.
