Artwork Description

Drawing on cardboard, ready to hang.

Signed certificate of authenticity.

This artwork comes with an external frame

This ink on card is the study for a painting I did a while back. I was looking at two Japanese businessmen talking when I was overseas and suddenly they bowed to each other, quite quickly and I wondered if they ever hit heads. In this depiction one man has been knocked unconscious and the other may very well have a broken nose. I have this piece hanging in my house and it makes me smile each time I walk passed it. The actual size of the drawing is 40 x 58cm, but with the white borders included it measures closer to 56 x 82. This artwork is shipped in a frame without glass and is ready to hang.

Absurd art that looks at the strange incidents that one encounters from time to time This artwork brings everyday, non – artwork objects together where they acquire strong, symbolic meanings within the context of the whole work. I like the way the pieces contribute to the composition yet still retain their original identity. I feel that in some ways this sculptural technique of organizing into a unified whole a group of unrelated and often fragmentary or discarded objects is a powerful metaphor of how people from various cultures and walks of life can be bought together and live harmoniously as a whole.
