My paintings are inspired by the beauty of nature. BANKSIA DREAMS was inspired by the magnificent bloom of a beautiful prostrate banksia we have growing in our rockery. To be specific it is Banksia blechnifolia (in the protaceae family). They have these cute unique feathery feeling “skirts”. When spring is in full form, it does magical things to your garden. The bees, butterflies and birds love this. So too does one of our resident blue-tongue lizards, who has made her home under the banksia skirts. It has a dreamy feel to it, which I hope will help your mind to rest and be still at the end of the day … and that it will help you to drift into peaceful and restorative sleeps.
