The Australian Major Mitchell cockatoo is a rowdy, extraordinarily pretty bird, with its blushes of pink and outrageous red, yellow and white crest. To me it always looks dressed in it's Sunday best, off to party hard... This painting is highly textured, and an absolute riot of colour.
