This painting was inspired by the lake and the coastal woodland.
It is no particular place ,but a combination of the things I love painting.
The composition is of a view of the water through the trees. The trees are gum trees. I enjoy painting in the deatil of the bark and the patterns that are formed by the tree shedding its bark. The colours are soothing and calm.
I have also created a texture by using impasto paint on the tree trunks.
