I began experimenting with shapes. The initial large, leaf shape dictated how the space was to be utilised. Once established, the creative process began as rich, bold colour was applied, scribbles with wax crayon and graphite was layered on in a fun, spontaneous way. More paint was applied over the top in some areas, then scraped back to reveal exciting textures beneath the surface.
My work is intuitive and lead, very much, by a 'feeling' or prompts of what colour or tool to use next.
I am excited about the quality of the paint and how it responds to the surface of the work.
