Bowen is one of my favourite spots to visit when travelling in North Qld. The town is at the northern end of the Whitsundays with a tropical climate and holiday atmosphere but a little less crowded.
It is high tide at Horseshoe Bay, the rocks are underwater and there is a sea breeze creating gentle waves along the edge. Views from the beach take in the clear tropical water and distant Whitsunday islands. At low tide the weathered sandstone boulders are exposed and a paradise for walking around and exploring the crystal clear rock pools.

I have used artist quality acrylic paint on a solid stretched canvas and it is finished with a satin varnish. The image extends around the sides so can be hung unframed.
