This is the partner picture of Magnolia bloom 1, created at the same time earlier this year. We are lucky to have this incredible Magnolia tree in our front yard, and each year come early spring it is absolutely covered in these giant, bulbous pink blooms....it's quite a sight and i often see people walking past, stopping and admiring this tree. I wanted to do some quick studies of these gorgeous flowers, to try and capture their colour and form, and it's great to look at them when the tree is dormant. I hope they can bring that bit of joy into someones life, tree or no tree, it's a wonderful reminder of how magic nature can be.
