Powerfully feminine and demanding attention, there's truly a sense that the invigorating scent of summer is gushing towards you.

This semi-abstract floral was created through the combination of translucent soft colours and thick texture, plied over a gold backdrop. The piece began with a thought: I wanted to capture how the scent of summer blooms "is intoxicating in the heat, as if it smacks you in the face." The choice of a gold substrate may simply be seen just to add some bling; but my intent was to imply the richness, the heat, generated by the scent. The turquoise, soft pinks and lemon tones add a summer freshness - the intent of the composition was to resemble an explosion.

This piece is painted with professional artist quality paint, on professional grade canvas stretched over quality frame, and finished with a light varnish for protection.
All edges are gallery wrapped, so artwork can hang without frame if desired.
