Not far from the Colloseum amongst the surrounding ruins was this cat, one of the many that inhabit the area. It was furtive yet unafraid and stayed long enough for me to make a few quick sketches and take a few photographs. This painting is an acrylic knife painting, using only professional quality paints, allowing me the freedom that I wanted for this ' cat on the scrounge'.
