This is a textured piece with finishing touches of bronze ( which photographs a reddish colour) and pale white gold. I was experimenting with a different method of applying paint and texture to that which I normally use. There are many layers to this piece. Once finished I could see sort of 'whirling' patterns in both the textured parts and the colours - hence the name 'whirlygig'.
