"A Year in Japan" series - Winter.
This is the 9th artwork I've created for this series, which I'm aiming to complete 12 for - one for each month. The series focuses on everyday scenes in Japan, each one featuring a lone man walking whose face you can't see, generally walking away. The style of illustration is inspired by Studio Ghibli animation.
The paper is Cold Pressed, fine grain, 300gsm, acid free by Daler Rowney.
This illustration shows my lone figure standing in the light of a street light while snow is falling and covers the ground. The street he is on is a famous one in Tokyo, currently named Memory Lane.
As with each work in the series, my name is written in small black writing within the work.
