Copic markers, gold gouache and pencil on Saunders Waterford paper. Seijin Shiki is the Coming of Age ceremony in Japan, where young women who turned 20 in the last year dress up in kimonos. This piece contrasts the traditional kimono with a modern Luis Vuitton handbag. It is the second work in my "Two Worlds" series. I do not have a set number of works yet for this series.
This is my largest work to date. The dimensions are for the entire sheet of paper - 101 x 66cm. You would have the option of covering some of the paper, or of framing it so the rough edges of the paper are visible. A framer would need to roughen two of the edges, which are straight cuts, to match.
The gold paint reflects the light as shown in the photos. The paper is an off-white, cream colour.
My signature is in gold pen at the bottom. I will also write details on the back of the work in gold pen.
