Flowers for Myrtle is a tribute to my first piano teacher, Miss Myrtle Mockridge, who loved fresh flowers from her garden equally with her beautiful grand piano.
This piece features collage with my own hand painted papers, and some pieces from a music manuscript she taught me. It’s a Chopin Nocturne.
Finished with touches of gold leaf
The collage continues around the sides, so can be hung straight on the wall, or propped on a shelf. Or frame it in natural wood, or maybe black.
