I live right on Port Phillip Bay on the Mornington Peninsula, and try to walk along the beach most days, fossicking, letting the sea breezes blow away the cobwebs, and hanging out with my constant companions, the gulls. They truly own the beach, no matter what the weather they are out there, gathering in groups if food might be on offer, but also content to maintain good social distancing. Their stances, personalities and antics always amuse and entertain me, and lighten my mood for the day. And, yes I give them names which reflect their personalities 😄
Not intended to be botanical realist studies, my seagull portraits are semi-abstract in style, and more intent on capturing their personalities and cheekiness.
This painting measures 20cm x 20cm, and is supplied with an off white mat board with outer dimensions 30cm x 30cm, which fits straight into a ready made frame size available for purchase from many outlets.
