A companion to the IL DUOMO DI FIRENZE, GIOTTO"S BELL TOWER and similarly, a commissioned artwork preserved as a "memory piece". This architectural masterpiece embodies universal order and tells the story of the redemption of mankind.
The artist places the building at the forefront of the painting, as if guided by the hand of the divine, inviting the viewer to gaze at the exquisite detailed highlighted by vibrating mixture of rich red, dark blue and white colors that decorates the arched windows and columns of the tower, allowing a 3D dimensional view to emerge. The viewer is left wondering what lies beyond those dark shadowy windows and wonders if one could ever touch the mysteries of the Tower. The feeling is also enhanced by the artist decision not to anchor the building to physical environment and by simply providing a glimpse of the tower.
The backdrop of the painting cleverly depreciating the surrounding building as they blend in and fixed slowly together by a sea of terracotta roof stretching and melting into the green hills beyond, towards a ever changing skyline.
