Affirmation - When you are afraid to lose something or someone, it is the proof of you already have it in your hand. Don't be afraid to love. <br> White orchid stands for innocence, beauty and elegance. The colour white also signifies reverence and humility. -WILD BOTANICAL ABSTRACT SERIES 2018 by H.Lin- <br> This particular painting is inspired by a gathering with one of my close friends, who paid us a visit from overseas. <br> Love have always been a complicated subject to me, and it comes in many different kinds of form. True love is not always about red roses every day, in the contrary, there's mutual understanding, empathy, communication, caring and sometimes struggles involved. No matter it is pleasant or not, every emotion is real and true, and those are all the proof that we are having love right here right now. It may not easy to love, but we never stop trying. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. <br> Affirmation: Be your own king, higher and stronger. <br> To experience the seasons, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom around my surroundings, during its flowering season. This artwork was inspired by a day trip to Ferny Creek, Mount Dandenong. This gorgeous bouquet of white king protea caught my attention. Two giant king proteas stand tall in a white porcelain vase, feels like time has frozen on the spot, quiet and sacred. <br> The king protea is the most popular variety, having one of the largest flower heads in the Protea family. Protea cynaroides, also known as Protea King White. White Protea stands for Purity, Honesty, and Integrity. <br> Protea flowers - native to Australia and South Africa, symbolized Strength, Courage, and Love. Therefore, there’s a saying that protea makes a great gift for someone who's about to embark on an exciting life experience or transformation. I am especially in love with the story behind the name: In Greek legend, proteas were named after Proteus, the son of Poseidon. A sea god who had the power to know all things past, present, and future. <br> The flower always blooms in its own time without competing with other flowers. May we all bloom in our time in the best season.
