I paint dandelion for many different reasons.
Whenever I need a little bit of energy boost , I paint dandelion.
However this painting has a cute story behind it.

I have a particular spot for my daily mediation by the window in my studio.
A windy afternoon, my husband went out to do the gardening, while I was cleaning up after a long painting session.
I happened to had a glimpse that he put a big bloom of dandelion on the window stile quietly, right on the spot that it will be the first thing I will be seeing the next morning when I start my daily routine.
Then he went back to do the gardening without a word.

The flower was in full bloom in striking yellow.
It was that moment touched my heart.

The most common flower, has the grace of peony and the strength of winter camellia.
It'll always be there for you, in every season, sunny day or rainy day.
My favorite flower- Dandelion, that you can see everywhere if you pay them some attention.

Dandelion normally stands for inner strength and vitality in my on going series, but this particular painting is different.
This time, it is about the tenderest love, in the softest tone.

This painting looked perfectly on any bright colour wall.
Hope you feel the good vibe in this painting, may it brings all the love to you as well.

Sealed with clear varnish. 50.8 (W) x 61cm (H) x 3.5 cm (D) <br> Affirmation: All the wonderful things in life begin in a simple moment and last an eternity. <br> If you are familiar with my work, you may already know every year I spent several months studying one single object in my signature series - Bloom like flowers. Sometimes a single artwork can take over 6 months to complete depends on the size and how detailed it was. In this signature series of mine, flowers as the object represent life itself to me. Our own will to be alive, and the way we want to be alive. While I carefully paint these tiny flower petals, or built up those fine leaves’ vines, it is like the way we try to figure out those uncertainty, furthermore, to be able to be closer to the truth a little bit more. I started this particular artwork around October 2020 and it had been staying on my easel for several months. If you look close enough, each tiny petal was built up by multiple layers. The process wasn’t an easy task but It’s a challenge that I always enjoyed. It’s been a really long journey. I spent countless days studying those intricate details, sunny days and rainy days. <br> This new variety of rose – Frutteto, is a light pink rose with light green exterior petals. The colour pink is often associated with appreciation, perfection and happiness. Pink elicits feelings of warmth, femininity, and love. Colours also have a psychological influence. From all the colours, green symbolizes nature and the natural world. It is often thought to represent tranquillity, good luck, and health. <br> As for white, for me, white has all the possibilities. Bridal white, white canvas, a page of blank diary, and all the different colours enchanted on pure white petals with sunlight dance on it. The colour white symbolizing simplicity, a fresh start or a new beginning. I remember once my collector asked me a specific question on my solo exhibition years ago – What is the most difficult flower that you’ve ever paint? I thought for a while and answered honestly – Personally I think white flowers are the most difficult object to paint, because colours changed under the light. White flowers are not just in white. It is also one of the reasons I love about it. Precision and a lot of practice are needed to depict delicate details. <br> This artwork is inspired by an amazing rose bouquet that I spotted in the local market. This artwork was inspired by a day trip to Sassafras, Victoria. This beautiful Scarlet Banksia lay on top of a bunch of wattle caught my attention. <br> Banksia coccinea, native to Western Australia, also known as the scarlet banksia, waratah banksia or Albany banksia, is an erect shrub or small tree in the family Proteaceae. Banksia coccinea plants are killed by bushfire and regenerate from seed. Banksia symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings. To move on from the past courageously, to have the strength to look forward to tomorrow. Wattle flower – the symbol of life, renewal and potential. The green and gold are the national colours of Australia, first used in 1899. <br> All the native blossoms bloom gloriously like a warming sun. Therefore, I have the title - Outshine the Light, for this particular artwork. <br> Flowers always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers. I totally agree with it. This is a very calming scene that I see often in a particular spot by the window that I do my daily meditation at home, sitting on an old chair with nostalgic pattern on it that my lovely neighbour left me. The yuletide camellia bloom beautifully in the winter on my front yard. <br> My cat Cadbury sometime sit by the window, by my side, and look at me with her lovable, big round eyes while I do my daily meditation. It's quiet, like time froze at that magical moment.
