Cockatoos symbolize change and to embrace self-love. They also represent a sense of community and the importance of communication


As many of you may know I don’t paint birds often, but when I do it’s normally a self-projection.
This artwork was inspired by my visit to the Ballarat Bird World. I spent quite some time observing this playful little friend – White Cockatoo, one of my favourite Australian Native Birds.
Which also inspired me to paint this artwork as an extension of my previous series. Like a year book, featuring all our friends, carrying all kinds of memories.
Each bird has different appearance, different personality, and each one of them might remind you of that specific, special friend of yours. That person might be bubbly, fun or even weird in an amazing way, and you love them no matter what.


That’s why I name this series – Family by Choice. Hope you enjoy this original series of mine.

It’s rich in texture and shines beautifully when you look at the physical painting. <br> Affirmation: The Sky will always be Blue, if not today, it will be tomorrow. <br> I have this beautiful camellia tree at my front yard which blooms gloriously from every Autumn till Winter. Flowers always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers. I am obsessed with the delightful view of the sunlight reflected on those pure white flower petals, and a bit of yellow/ light magenta blended on the flower buds every time I study the bloom. <br> It has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom of this beautiful camellia tree every year, all of them have found their forever home quickly, and now you are looking at my latest interpretation of my favourite camellia tree. <br> Camellia flower speaks to the heart and expresses positive feelings. The flower of Camellia also symbolizes refinement, great passion, faithfulness and Perfection. When white camellias are presented to someone, it is thought to bring luck. <br> Flowers always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers. The flowers symbolized happiness and gratefulness for the life you have been given. They are a celebration of life. The Egyptian believed that the gerbera would lessen the sorrows and stresses of everyday life in the old days. It also has a meaning of closeness to nature and devotion to the sun. <br> Alstroemeria, also known as Peruvian lily or lily of the Incas, native to South America however some have become naturalized in the United States, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand. In 1753 Baron Claus von Alstomer, a Swedish baron, discovered the flower while collecting seeds on a trip to Spain. The Alstroemeria flower was named after him. This long-lasting flower symbolises devotion and friendship. Alstroemeria is also a symbol of wealth, fortune and prosperity. <br> Symbolic of powerful Yang energy, Chrysanthemums are believed to represent longevity, joy and attractant of good luck in the home. If you receive chrysanthemums from someone, it is a symbol of love. <br> The beautiful sun-coloured yellow rose can also convey warmth, delight and affection, as well as say good luck, welcome back, and remember me.
