This is an original abstract painting on canvas that is framed and ready to hang on your beautiful wall.

This artwork continues with my fascination in the sublime of micro-biology and sea-life. The circular organic motifs and the organic cluster patterns allude to cellular life forms, dainty aquatic-life, bioluminescent algae and to the otherworldliness of underwater worlds and the building blocks of life like cells, amoeba and molecules. Sublime and beautiful yet also possessing a feeling of fragility and vulnerability.

This painting has a brilliant aqua and blue colour vibration and glows like a jewel on the wall. The light and colour create an otherworldly tranquillity.

”I feel like I am gently floating like jelly-fish” is a lovely comment I so often receive from this series.
What I enjoy most about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness as well as creating a talking point for years to come.

This one is part of a series that all look stunning hanging together, as seen in the last photos.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jacquelyn Stephens is a Melbourne based artist who has been successfully exhibiting her paintings for over 20 years since completing a BFA in Painting at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts. She has gained an extensive knowledge of Art, quality art materials, techniques and theory from working closely within the arts industries and in her own art practice. Jacquelyn works full time from her studio on the Melbourne fringe. She has had several successful solo and group exhibitions in commercial galleries and artists run spaces. Her paintings can be seen in many media publications and are held in private collections worldwide. Many of the key themes in her work have been informed by her interest in water, nature, science, the environment and the domain of medicine.
