Artwork Description

Acrylic on paper

Signed certificate of authenticity.

Hidden away in a remote corner of the Kimberley in Western Australia there is a lovely creek full of lily pads. This is an abstracted view of the creek from a rock ledge overhead, the painting picking out some key colours and focusing on them to allow us to enjoy the shapes and lines that made up the scene.

The painting is on 300gsm Snowden cartridge paper. There is a small border around the edge, so the painting is 66cm X 46cm on the paper that is 70cm X 50cm. It will need framing and will look lovely with a border around the painting as shown in the example photos.

An abstracted painting of the head and body of a bird, in whites and browns, with a scribbly background of different colours. A dark red painting showing an outback landscape with marks and an area of gold suggested an area of sunlit land.An abstracted hillside in oranges and golds with hints of pale and dark blue. Tree shapes on the right are made by overlapping vertical lines in dark blues and dark browns. The same colours are used in horizontal lines to make branches in the top half. Bright orange patches are within these lines. On the left are patches of blue, for the sky.
