I have long been a fan of Dali's work so when I decided to paint this portrait, his was the face that I chose. I love his artwork and sculptures, especially after visiting an exhibition of his paintings and sculptures at The Cube in Adelaide. I particularly love the vibrancy of his colour palette and I have adopted those same colours and some of the objects he painted in this work. A crazy eccentric man and fantastic artist, this mesmerizing artwork with his crazy stare is a tribute to his boundless imagination and surreal vision.
