Artwork Description

Reproduction Print on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Willy Wagtails have a special meaning for some people as they believe a Willy Wagtail often visits them after a loved one has passed away. I have since experienced this myself so I believe it too. Willy Wagtails are special birds, they are cheeky, mischievous and very cute.

The background is light green.Tall timbers wind along a meandering path. The sky in the background peeps through the green undergrowth while the stately trees stand to attention along the path. Bracken, ferns and groundcovers frame the red dirt of the well-worn path through the forest.Pelicans swimming on the Blackwood River at Augusta, approaching a wooden boat moored in the bay. A lone pelican sits atop the boat. In the background is a restaurant and houses on the peninsula. This painting was painted on the bank near the camping and holiday units of Augusta where many families spend their holidays. It is a popular part of WA. The print requires framing.

Two blue wrens, a male and a female, sitting in a tree surrounded by leaves and orange flowers. The background is a yellow-greenish colour which contrasts nicely with the blue of the birds and the orange flowers. The colour is wrapped around the sides of the canvas. A sandy path leads down to the water's edge where small rocks and boulders protrude from the froth as waves lap around the rocks in the shallow bay. The sea changes from a blue green to a light turquoise colour as it enters the shallow bay and the white coloured sand is reflected from below. Small rocks and boulders line the edge of the small bay and protrude from the water and the sand on the shoreline. This painting uses stamps, stencils and acrylic paint to create patterns on the canvas. The canvas is then over painted in sky blue acrylic paint to create the tea and coffee pot objects. This artwork is cottage style and would well in a kitchen or dining area as well as a bedroom. A blue green sea turtle swimming over a multi-coloured coral reef with sunlight shining down through the water. The coral is yellow, blue, purple and pink coloured with green and pink parrot fish, orange and white clown fish and other small tropical fish swimming over the reef.
