Drawing on paper
Signed on the front.
The figure depicted here is if the Roman Emperor Hadrian who is situated in an interior space reminiscent of the work of the artist Francis Bacon. This work reflects my love of both Ancient Roman history and the art of Francis Bacon.
I enjoyed establishing a contrast between vibrant colours and the black and white tones and details of the grey lead pencil for Hadrian.
Signature in in the bottom-left corner.
This drawing will be express posted in a sturdy postal tube.
Either a simple black or light timber frame would work effectively with this piece.
