Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
This is a portrait of the Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten, based on a plaster bust that was excavated in the ruins of the sculptorsโ workshops at Amarna in 1913-14.
The thin, bright yellow rays represent the god Aten whom Akhenaten worshipped.
Does not require framing. Sides are painted black.
High quality Art Spectrum oils used on triple-primed canvas.
The brush was used for the black background while the palette was employed for everything else, enabling the formation of thick textures.
Ready to hang with strong wire/d-rings on the back.
