I often head down to Mentone Beach and paint with a fellow artist. I find the formation of the rocks on the cliff face fascinating and there is one in particular I love. It spirals its way out of the water as if pointing upwards to the foliage and path above. I wanted to portray it close up in all its earthy red glory! It is double mounted in white over a fine line of gold ochre. The frame is a steely grey. This increases it's measurements to 61cm W x 71cm H
