One of the things I love the most about the arid areas like Arkaroola is the striking colours that come about on the last burst of light before the softer pastel like qualities occur.
The more subtle tonal qualities are lost during this time of days and the light amplifies the natural colour
Arkaroola is an amazing Sanctuary set in spectacular, rugged mountains of the Flinders Ranges
Contains many geological wonders of layered sheering rock faces and is a absolute joy for any who love to star gaze.
Incandescent eve at Arkaoola is a representation and celebration of that moment of evening light that creates an amazing burst of colour.
Incandescent eve at Arkaroola was created with Atelier Acrylcs, mediums and varnished with a satin varnish. The canvas is heavy duty canvas, acid free 380 g/m. The black gesso encourages strong intense colour use and encourages the scene of deep shadows found in the outback.
