The Australian eucalypt is a thing of beauty, so resilient and well adapted they are to their environment that to grow out of seemingly solid rock is not beyond them.
I found this gorgeous specimen, gnarled and twisted growing in Kings canyon, surrounded by stunning red rock. An ancient, harsh and windswept environment that still manages to sustain growth of astounding beauty.
