This image of a home-made vehical - a bush buggy was painted en plein air by the artist. This means she painted it while on location not in a studio. This method grants the work a lively and loose look that encapsulates the fun of exploring the Australian bush in a DIY vehical. The Buggy was made by the artist's father and looks like something out of the Mad Max movie franchise. The artist has used desaturated hues including beige, peach and khaki to capture the dry bush setting while the buggy has a hint of camo pattern showing on it's tubular steel form.
