Part of my current body of work, taking shapes from nature and flora and fauna and transporting it in to a meditative abstract, a veneer over an abstract background in a pixelated view. The inspiration evolved from simple shapes, my love of texture, craft and textiles. This work gives a nod to good old fashioned embroidery. The colours are associated with my experiences both in Australia and South Africa. Memories of landscapes and colours, remembered in a creative way.
