Artwork Description

Signed on the front.

Working from a Still life setup using real flowers in the artists studio, layering methods are used until the form, structure and color emerges from the canvas, this beautiful native bouquet was arranged by Fleurus at Ferry Road, and is displayed in one of the Artists retro blue vases, blue gum, banksia and various natives have been captured in a painterly way, typifying the artists technique.

Artist statement. "Just like resolving issues in everyday life, the process of painting for me can be likened to this, it is much the same, and is full of complexities. One takes steps to resolve an issue just as I take steps create art, adding layers of paint over time, allowing the composition to emerge from the canvas until ultimately it is resolved. It's thus so much more than just a creative process, with a convenient outcome.

I am influenced by my surroundings, especially in nature and our beautiful landscapes on the Gold Coast. Situations and events have a big impact on my work, to the extent that I am fully invested emotionally and connected with the final outcome.

I love working with color, it evokes an emotional response, for me there is a strength and passion attached to applying color to a canvas I have always been fearless with color which for me represents resilience, the colors can be both primary or subtle the impact and response is the same.

Thank you for looking and I hope that you also make an emotional connection with my work.

Styled scenes are not 100% to scale (scenes are generic and I don't have access to dimensions used in these scenes but they are a close estimate)

Cost of custom packaging to a very high standard to protect this larger work during transit is included in the price.

Blues, greens, peach lilac and pink repetitive mark making, using a small brush to create a veneer over the abstract landscape below. resulting in a calming work.An abstract landscape of layers and contrast in small brush strokes arranged in a pattern, covered in individual mark making creating a veneer, the intention is to obscure what lies below in a beautiful way. Each mark is the result of many layers, and the colours are all mixed by the artist in a careful way. This work features every shade of blue and green, and hints and hues of lilac, peach and pinkA joyful work full of deep to pastel tones and colours, inspired by my garden outside my art studio. Shades of bluey green and all shades of green mark making creates a veneer over the abstract landscape background.Hot shades in the background, completely paired back by a veneer of brush strokes, in shades of blues and greens, giving the viewer a pixelated aerial view of an abstract landscape.
