Blue Birds is inspired by water birds in a Naive abstract interpretation of birds and plants. Focus is on colours such as blues and greens the work is quite textured in apparence and the coloured images and shapes are in contrast to the white background that also has a textured appeal. I wanted this work to be bold, abstract and rather simplistic in nature so that you get a feeling of the shapes and the calming blue and green shades and tones to resemble water and nature.
