I just love going for a cooling dip in the refreshing water at Bunker Bay, Western Australia.
Refresh is a very large, cool blue oil painting, that makes you feel like you are standing in the waves as they gently wash up onto the shore.
Bunker Bay is my favourite beach in the whole world. The unmistakeable silhouette of the headland, with it's trees and rocks, the crystal clear water, but also the cafe on the beach for my coffee and the best bit is I can take my pup with me too. It's just perfect!
I used a mixture of brushes, pouring, and palette knives to apply the paint; using thin drippy glazes and with thick textural marks
This very, very large painting is all ready to hang and has its edges painted so you don't need to frame it. I have signed it on the back, so not to detract from the image on the front.
