This is a bleed print, meaning the printed area is all the way to the edge of the paper. Bleed prints look best when float mounted inside the frame to show the deckled edge of the paper.

The colour of the print is a deep Prussian Blue leaning towards the green spectrum.

The subject focuses on the form and texture of a large tree trunk. The print is part of a body of work about the myths or folk stories associated with trees and forests. During my childhood in Poland, I spent a lot of time in nature or listened to tales of hidden faces in trees, and entities that lived in forests and bogs.
