I love crystals. They are like flowers; to us they appear as pure beauty that is determined by mathematics and chemistry. In this paper collage I tried constructing a three-dimensional paper form that mimics crystalline shapes, in a dreamy palette of opals, fluorite and aquamarine. Geometric art fascinates me, as it seems to beckon us to find meaning in its abstraction. This work is set against an acrylic-painted and lightly textured black background.
This paper collage on canvas, made from used magazines and gloss medium, is modern yet conservatively composed. It will add depth to your walls. It is ready to hang and has white unpainted sides.
I will gladly create a work for you by commission. Email krubinst@gmail.com.
