Theme
The gravestones tell a story rich in human amd maritime history. Norfolk Island first settled by east Polynesian seafarers, sighted by Captain Cook on HMS Resolution in 1774. Settled by First Fleeters and convicts in 1788, later by the descendants of Tahitians and HMS Bounty mutineers from the Pitcairn Islands. The final resting place of HMS Sirius.
