This is a colourful piece, with soft guava undertones. It forms part of a series of still life paintings celebrating community, good food and friendship. I drew inspiration from a fabulous article in a foodie magazine that had a Middle Eastern theme. The hospitality and generosity that characterises Middle Eastern culture has always been an inspiration to me.
