The promise of spring has awakened the romantic in me, and I find myself painting golden yellow dresses adorned with beautiful rich patterns. In this piece, three "bokmakieries", (Telophorus Zeylonus) or bush shrikes are singing the beauty of the golden gown. The piece is filled with joy, birdsong and colour. I use bronze pigment to give golden highlights where needed. A small picture that packs a punch.
