This is a portrait of a boy sleeping. It is part of a series of paintings which is inspired by my sons as I watch them grow. I'm trying to capture them before they move from childhood to adolescence. As you would expect, it's a work in progress.
The background has been created homemade stamps, which feature a silver star pattern. It is painted on a circular, round timber panel. Although unframed, it has exposed timber sides and is ready to hang.
