This piece was created following an earlier painting - Mountains in Blue. I was going through a period of experimenting with textures of oils and using pallet knives over brushes to create a real rock like feeling in my art. I just love the beauty of distant ice capped mountains and decided to paint this picture using shades of blue & purple.
