This work is the last remaining of a series (of 7) embroidered deer skulls against baroque luxury wallpaper backgrounds. This particular deer is a Muntjac Deer, famous for being the only fanged deer, and native to my favourite regions of the world, South- and South-east Asia. The work has become a quirky and personal memento mori.
