Such a peaceful and spectacular cove amongst the Bay of Fires in north east Tasmania. Large granite boulders stacked on the beach lean against each other with angular crevices caused by erosion, creating neat geometric patterns. Layers of orange lichen are sprinkled around like icing sugar on a cake. Clean clear water creates mirror-like reflections of spindly windswept bushes, and a moody feathered cloud pattern in blue-greys. This stunning and unusual display on a very cold wintery morning took me by surprise. Ideal vertical format for an entry, hallway or stairs platform.
