I found an Emu fledgling wandering alone in the back paddock , chirping franticly for it's mother , which was nowhere to be seen . I caught it & brought it home . I gave it to a friend who looked after homeless baby emus until it could fend for itself & then return back to the wild.
This painting brings that moment back to life .
