This work is inspired by a combination of fairy tales and the religious iconography of saints. The wolves act as a symbol for negative thoughts and self-doubt, and like their fairy tale counterparts they encircle the figure, ready to pounce on their prey. The phrase "Your Light Keeps My Wolves At Bay" is an offering of gratitude to the person in your life who shines their light and aids in returning to a positive mindset.
