*** COMMISSIONED AS WINNER OF PORTRAIT/FIGURES 2017 D'ARCY DOYLE ART AWARDS ***
As a result of winning First Prize for Portrait/Figures in the 2017 d'Arcy Doyle Art Awards ... I was commissioned to do this painting of a family, being four teenagers. The final composition for this painting was derived from individual and group photos taken during a professional photo shoot on location at Elephant Rock, Gold Coast. My aim was to express the youthfulness of the subjects, some aspects of their individual personalities and their interaction within their family group.
