Bon Voyage is another painting in my migration series. I began the series in 2015 in response to the ANL Maritime Award Exhibition theme - 'Humanity's Relationship to the Sea'.  I have been a finalist in this annual exhibition six times and sold most of the entries at the exhibition. The paintings have been influenced by my childhood migration to Australia in the early 1950s. Streamers feature in most of the works in this series, symbolising broken ties with family and one's country of birth. The painting is on professionally stretched linen with sturdy stretcher bars.
